Does removing metadata change the picture?

Metadata and image pixels are different parts of a file. Removing metadata should leave the visible picture alone, but changing the format, size, or compression is a separate operation.

Cleaning is not resizing

A metadata cleaner removes information stored in fields such as EXIF, GPS, XMP, and IPTC. It does not redraw the image. If you also convert to WebP, resize, or change quality, those settings can affect the exported file.

Use a copy and compare

Keep your original, export a clean copy, and compare the dimensions and format. If the appearance matters, view both files side by side before publishing.

That simple workflow gives you a file you can share with confidence while preserving the source for your own records.
