What does whyaiai remove?+
The clean export removes common EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP and provenance metadata. It keeps the visible image; it does not remove a visible watermark or alter the scene.
Where are my images processed?+
The cleaner works in your browser. Your images stay in this browser while you work, so keep the original until you have checked the export.
Can I remove EXIF data from several photos?+
Yes. Add a batch to the queue and download the cleaned files together. The current browser session cap is shown in the cleaner before you begin.
Does removing metadata remove an AI label?+
Whyaiai removes metadata embedded in the exported file, including common provenance fields. It cannot remove a label added by a platform after upload, erase visible marks, or tell you whether the pixels were generated by AI.
Will the cleaned image look different?+
The browser re-encodes the image. You can choose the output format and, for JPG or WebP, the quality. Keep the original if exact source fidelity or camera metadata matters.
What should I do if a file fails?+
Try JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP or TIFF. Browser support differs by format, so an image that your browser cannot decode will be rejected clearly. You can also update your browser or remove an unusually large file from the batch.
