A photo can say more than you intended. GPS coordinates, the phone that captured it, and editing details can travel inside the file even when none of that is visible in the picture.
Why location data matters
EXIF GPS fields can reveal where a photo was taken. That may be harmless for a landmark, but it is different when the image comes from your home, a child’s school, or a place you visit every day.
Before posting, make a clean copy of the image. Keep the original somewhere safe, then remove the metadata from the copy you plan to share. The pixels stay the same; the extra file information does not.
A simple check before sharing
Use whyaiai’s Inspect view to see whether GPS, EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments, thumbnails, or Content Credentials are present. Then run Clean and inspect the exported copy again.
