Some image files carry information that points to the software or process used to create them. That can include XMP fields, Content Credentials, comments, thumbnails, or other embedded markers.
What metadata cleaning can do
whyaiai reads the file in your browser and creates a new image copy without the embedded metadata it can remove. You can use it for one image or add a larger group at once. The visible picture is not edited as part of metadata cleaning.
What it cannot change
File metadata is different from a label that a social platform adds after upload. Removing metadata from a file does not remove a platform label or decide how a detector will classify the image. It gives you control over the file you send.
Check the result
After cleaning, open Inspect or Verify in whyaiai to see which markers were found in the original and which remain in the new file. For an extra check, download the result and inspect that exported copy before sharing it.
